Complete speed control guide for Pokemon Champions: Tailwind, Trick Room, critical speed tiers, Choice Scarf item, and how to counter both fast and slow archetypes.
Knowing the speed tiers decides who attacks first. Important base speeds at level 50 with Jolly and 32 Spe SP:

Tailwind doubles your team's speed for 4 turns (3 if you attack turn 1). Set by Pelipper, Corviknight, Whimsicott, Aerodactyl. Reactive and flexible.
Trick Room reverses the speed order for 5 turns: the slowest attack first. Set by Hatterene, Farigiraf, Oranguru. Requires teams built around slow high-Attack Pokemon.
Vs Tailwind: stall with slow Pokemon, set your own Tailwind or Trick Room. Vs Trick Room: hit the setter before it activates (Perish Song often fails, but Taunt stops it).
