Tailwind vs Trick Room

Tailwind doubles your team's speed for 4 turns (3 if you attack turn 1). Set by Pelipper, Corviknight, Whimsicott, Aerodactyl. Reactive and flexible.

Trick Room reverses the speed order for 5 turns: the slowest attack first. Set by Hatterene, Farigiraf, Oranguru. Requires teams built around slow high-Attack Pokemon.

Vs Tailwind: stall with slow Pokemon, set your own Tailwind or Trick Room. Vs Trick Room: hit the setter before it activates (Perish Song often fails, but Taunt stops it).

Frequently asked questions

How long does Tailwind last?
Tailwind lasts 4 turns, counting the turn it was used. In practice, if your Pelipper uses Tailwind on turn 1, the effect ends at the end of turn 4.
